How to Make Windows Live My Home Page

Windows Live, run by the Microsoft Corporation, offers a variety of services to users including email, instant messaging and data storage. Many people who use the Windows Live service choose to make it their homepage, which is the first page that a user comes to when opening an Internet browser. Having Windows Live as a homepage allows users to easily access services.

Instructions

Internet Explorer

1. Open your Internet Explorer browser.

2. Type "www.live.com" into the long Web address box at the top of the Internet browser.

3. Move the cursor to the upper, right-hand corner of the screen and click on the area that reads "Tools" and then click on "Internet Options" in the pull-down menu.

4. Click on the "General" tab on the window that appears. Click on the button that reads "Use Current" and press "OK."

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open the Mozilla Firefox browser.

2. Go to the "Tools" area and select "Options" from the pull-down menu.

3. Enter the address "www.live.com" into the home page area. Select "OK."

Google Chrome

1. Open your Google Chrome browser.

2. Go to the "Homepage" section and select "Open this page."

3. Enter "www.live.com" into the text box.
