Read the page thoroughly, including the list of what the lawyers can help with and what they cannot.

Contact one of the lawyers listed on the page. Have all of the information about your case or concern ready when you call. Ask to set up a free appointment for legal aid with the lawyer.

Take any documentation you have to your meeting. This might include bills, statements of eviction, photographs of injuries, doctors' statements, mortgage papers, and anything else relevant to your case. Be prepared to describe the issue to the lawyer and to take notes on her advice.
