1
Use a brick trowel to apply a concrete bonding agent to the brick siding where you wish to apply stucco. Allow this bonding agent to dry for a couple of hours; once it is dry it will make it much easier for the stucco to successfully bond with the wall and firmly stay in place.
-
2
Mix your stucco compound in a bucket with water. The particular pack of stucco you bought will have the precise instructions regarding how much water and how much stucco mix to combine depending on how much stucco mix you need. Follow these instructions and mix together.

3
Spread the stucco mix onto your wall using a brick trowel. Your first layer should be around ¼ inch deep and it should be evenly spread across the wall.
-
4
Use a plasterer's rake to rake lightly across this newly applied layer of stucco. This "scratch coat" helps to create a long-lasting finish. This is a professional tip, and is optional, but it will help the finished look.
-
5
Apply another coat of stucco after 24 hours. Again, you want the layer of stucco to be around ¼ inch thick.
-
6
Allow the stucco to dry, and occasionally spray the stucco with water. The act of spraying water ensures it does not dry too quickly and become flaky and unstable.
