How to Enable Auto Fill in Internet Explorer 6
Auto fill is a program that prefills information entered into various Web forms. It also works for address bars. Auto fill is known by many different names on different programs. On Internet Explorer 6, auto fill is known as "AutoComplete." Enabling the AutoComplete program in Internet Explorer 6 allows the browser to remember information you've previously entered into Web forms, which can save you time.

Click on "Start," select "Programs" and click "Internet Explorer" to open Internet Explorer 6. You can also double-click on your IE6 desktop icon if you have one.

Click "Tools" on the top part of the Internet Explorer 6 menu. From the list that appears, select "Internet Options."

Locate and click on the menu tab labeled "Content." Then click on "AutoComplete" to open the settings menu.

Click on the boxes associated with the items that you want to enable the auto-fill program for. You can choose "Web Addresses," "Forms" or "User Names and Passwords." Feel free to select all three if you want the maximum auto-fill experience.

Click "OK" to enable the auto-fill program. Close the "Internet Options" menu to return to your Web browser interface.

Tips & Warnings
Enabling the auto-fill program for your user names and passwords is not advisable if you use a public computer. If others use your PC with this feature enabled, they will be able to access your private accounts without having to type your password.
