Tips & Warnings

  • Armour Etch will ruin lenses made of glass, so this method is not intended for glass lenses, only plastic. If you are unsure as to whether your lenses are made of plastic or glass, you can place a very small amount of Armour Etch on a small area of the lens to make sure that it is safe to use.

  • Armour Etch contains hydrofluoric acid, which is very harmful to the skin. You should undertake these steps in an outdoor area, if possible, as you will need plenty of ventilation. Armour Etch is irritating if inhaled, so it is advisable not to work indoors with this product.
