      Remove any grates covering the stove burner. If possible, remove the stove burner. Most electric burners pull out, while gas burners lift off.

      Combine 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap per cup of warm water in a bowl, bucket or sink. Add 1 teaspoon of ammonia per gallon of water.
