How to Remove Certain History From Firefox
Using Firefox as your Web browser can make the Web surfing experience faster and more enjoyable. Firefox uses features that aren't readily available in typical Web browsers and they tend to be ahead of the curve when it comes to anticipating what the Web user wants. Removing or clearing your browsing history can be done using tools within Firefox or by using a Firefox plug-in.

Launch Firefox. Select the "Tools" drop-down menu and choose "Options." Click the "History" button and select "Clear Your Recent History." Under the time range, select the option that fits your needs. You can also remove the entire history by selecting "Everything." After you have made your selection, select "Clear Now."
To remove recent history, select the "Tools" drop-down menu and choose "Clear Recent History." You will be prompted to enter a time frame in the "Time range to clear" drop-down box. Select your time frame or "Everything." Click "Clear Now" when you are done.

You can remove your choice of cookies by clicking the "Tools" drop-down menu and selecting "Options." Click the "Privacy" tab and select "Show Cookies." Remove individual cookies by searching for the cookie you are seeking to delete or by selecting a cookie from the list. Then click "Remove Cookie."

Use the Private Browsing option in Firefox 3.6 to browse the Internet with Firefox without storing any browser history, search history, download history, Web form history, cookies or temporary Internet files. This option can be turned on and off using the Tools drop-down menu.
Start Private Browsing by selecting the "Tools" drop-down menu and choosing "Start Private Browsing." Confirm you want to start private browsing by clicking, "Start Private Browsing." Your session will start and all history used during the session will not be stored.
