DIY Wedding Thank-You Cards
Your friends and family helped make your wedding day special, shared the occasion with you and showered you with gifts for your new home. Now it is your turn to say thank you. You can purchase thank-you cards at most retail stores or from various online retailers, but to show your loved ones how you feel, make your own thank-you cards from basic craft supplies.

1
Cut pieces of card stock paper into the desired dimensions for the thank-you cards. You may want to keep the original size of the paper, or cut full-sized sheets in half to make smaller cards.
-
2
Fold the section of card in half to make a card shape. Decide if you want the card to open horizontally or vertically.

3
Decorate the front of the wedding card using scrapbook embellishments and double-sided scrapbook tape. Tape the embellishments onto the card, adding as many as you like and in any location you want on the front of the card. You may want to use wedding-themed embellishments, such as cutouts or pictures of rings, brides and grooms.

4
Write your thank-you message inside the card. Do not bother with writing a generic message on the inside of each card; instead, write a personal message to each loved one who shared your wedding date with you.
-
5
Use a calligraphy pen to write your messages. The calligraphy pen will make your handwriting appear more flowery and formal.
-
6
Add embellishments to the inside of the card. Place embellishments inside the card as room allows, but do this after you write your message and place your signature; this ensures you have plenty of room to say all you need to say to those who shared your wedding day with you.

Tips & Warnings
Write messages that let your guests and wedding party members know how much you appreciated their assistance, gift or presence at your wedding. Mention the wedding party member's job at the wedding or the gift she purchased.
