How to Clear the AVG Toolbar in Vista
AVG Anti-Virus includes a toolbar for the Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox Web browsers. The AVG Security Toolbar includes a "Linkscanner" feature, notifying you of the safety of links on the Web. It also includes other features such as a search bar as well as email, weather and Facebook notifications. The AVG toolbar's search bar remembers searches you perform. Clear the AVG toolbar's search history using its "Clear History" option.

Open your Web browser. Open Internet Explorer by clicking "Start," "All Programs" and "Internet Explorer," or open "Mozilla Firefox" by clicking "Start," "All Programs," "Mozilla Firefox" and "Mozilla Firefox."

Click the button with the image of the recycle bin on the AVG toolbar.

Clear the AVG toolbar's history by clicking "Delete Search History" in the menu that appears.

Click "OK" in the "The History Was Deleted" window.

Tips & Warnings
Delete your Web browser's history along with the toolbar's search history by clicking "Delete Complete History" in the recycle bin menu instead.
Hide the AVG toolbar by clicking the "X" button at the left side of the AVG toolbar.
Clear the toolbar's search history from the search box by clicking the down arrow at the right side of the toolbar's search box and clicking "Clear History" at the lower right corner of the search history pop-up.
