Making a Water Fountain
A water fountain brings the relaxing sound of running water indoors to create a peaceful environment. Water fountains also add humidity to homes in dry climates, making it easier to breath. Store bought water fountains can be pricey; making one from home can be done for a relatively low cost. A homemade water fountain is an individual work of art; no one will have an identical fountain to the one you craft. The same cannot be said for a store bought water fountain. Regardless of reason, making a water fountain is an easy task which can be completed in less than 30 minutes.

Place the river rocks around and over the aquarium pump and tubing, leaving the open end of the tube slightly exposed above the surface.

Plug the pump into the wall. Place a few river rocks over the cord to disguise it.

Tips & Warnings
This simple design can be used to create any sized of fountain. However, a larger fountain will require a larger, more powerful pump.
Never plug the pump into the wall before the bowl is full of water, attempting to run it dry can ruin a pump.
Always use a new pump, older pumps can have electrical problems and cause fires.
