How to Download Microsoft Messenger
The "Microsoft Messenger" instant messaging program is a stripped-down Macintosh port of Microsoft's successful "MSN Messenger" PC program. "Microsoft Messenger" is designed for use with the "Office Communications Server 2007" suite of programs, although it is fully capable of functioning on its own. Downloading Microsoft Messenger onto your Mac is a relatively simple process, requiring only a few simple clicks and keystrokes to get it onto your hard drive.

Launch your Web browser and navigate to the Microsoft Messenger download page (see Resources).

Click the orange "Download Microsoft Messenger" text located near the bottom of the "Microsoft Messenger" box. This will take you to a new page.

Locate the version of Microsoft Messenger you wish to download in the "Downloads" box at the bottom of the page, then click the orange text for that version.

Scroll to the bottom of the box immediately to the right of the downloads box. Locate the download link for your preferred language. It will look like: "English (.dmg)," with a green downwards-pointing arrow next to the orange text. Click the text to begin the download.
