How to Build Quilt Wall Hangers
Sometimes a quilt is just too beautiful or too fragile to use on the bed. Some quilts are simply made for decorative purposes. Preserve quilts while also presenting them as the works of art they are by hanging them on the wall with a homemade quilt hanger. Quilt hangers are easily made with a wooden dowel. Once displayed, your hanging quilt will be the centerpiece of a room--completely transforming the space. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
If the dowel is too long, cut it with a chop saw. Smooth any rough edges with sandpaper.
To hang the quilt from the quilt hanger, stitch a series of loops made from ribbon along the the top-back edge of the quilt. Stitch only through the back, and not the front, of the quilt.
