      Locate the electrical box for the power in your home. You will need to turn off the power to install the pendant lights.

      Unscrew the old light fixtures with a screwdriver. Carefully remove the fixtures from the mounting brackets and then disconnect the power source by unscrewing the wire nuts. Set the wire nuts aside for later use. Unscrew the mounting bracket from the ceiling.

      Attach the mounting bracket to the ceiling junction box. Use a screwdriver to screw the mounting bracket in place.

      Connect the wiring of the light. Typically this involves connecting the black and white wire to corresponding colors. Use the wire nuts to convert the wires. In addition, make sure you connect the ground wire to the green ground screw found in the junction box.

      Screw the pendant light in place in the mounting bracket. Use a screwdriver to secure the light in place.

      Turn on the power for the lights.
