How to Make a Baby Doll Sling

How to Make a Baby Doll Sling thumbnail
Make a sling for your child's baby doll.

A baby doll sling provides your son or daughter with a modern way to carry his or her baby doll. If your son or daughter has a new sibling, the sling also gives the older child a way to be "just like mommy." By making the sling together, you create a one-of-a-kind bonding experience with your older child.

Instructions

    • 1

Fold the fleece in half longways. Fold one end of the fleece in half a second time. This will be the shoulder piece.

    • 2

Cut two pieces, one rough and one soft, of the hook and loop fastener equal to the width of the shoulder piece.

    • 3

Remove the plastic backing from the rough piece of the hook and loop fastener, and attach it along the top edge of the shoulder piece. Remove the plastic backing from the soft piece of the hook and loop fastener, and attach it 4 inches down and parallel to the rough piece.

    • 4

Place the rings between the two pieces of the fastener. Loop the edge of the shoulder piece through both rings. Close the two pieces of fastener together.

    • 5

Fold the other end of the fleece in half a second time. Loop the end of the fleece through both rings. Slightly separate the tops of the two rings.

    • 6

Loop the end of the fleece over the closest ring and under the second ring. Tug the fleece to tighten.
