How to Make Bird Houses With Pretzel Sticks
Making a bird house is one of the simplest craft projects possible. The beauty of making these houses is that they can be made using very many different materials including wood, styrofoam and even edible materials such as bread and pretzel sticks. Edible birdhouses are meant more for decor than as a usable home for a bird. If you're the creative type that likes to get crafty with all sorts of materials, then making a bird house with pretzel sticks is the project for you.

Glue 16 pretzel sticks side-by-side to create a wall that is approximately 4 inches wide by 3 inches tall. Use a hot glue gun to glue the sticks together. Repeat this step to create a second wall.

Glue eight pretzel sticks side-by-side in the same fashion as you did before to create a wall that is approximately 2 inches wide by 3 inches tall.

Cut a pretzel stick into eight ½-inch pieces.

Cut six pretzel sticks so that each is approximately 2 inches long.

Glue three ½-inch sticks together to create a 1/2-inch wide by 3/4-inch long wall. Repeat this step to create a second wall.

Glue three of the 2-inch sticks side-by-side to make a 3/4-inch by 2-inch wall. Repeat this step to create a second wall.

Glue the two ½-inch-wide walls in between the two 2-inch-long walls, on the left and right of the longer walls, so that you create a wall that is approximately 2 inches wide by 3 inches tall with an opening that is 1 inch wide at the center of it.

Make a frame using the four walls you've made by gluing each wall to the other walls at the corners. The glue should be attached to the 3-inch side of each wall. The frame will be approximately 4 inches wide, 2 inches deep and 3 inches tall.

Glue 20 pretzel sticks together side-by-side to make a wall that is approximately 5 inches wide by 3 inches tall. Repeat this step to create a second wall.

Attach each of the 5-inch-long pieces to either end of the frame, these will be the floor and roof of the bird house.
