How to Install a New Video Graphics Card
Video games are known to be graphics-intensive. If you are a PC gamer, you might need upgrade your video graphics card. Upgrading your graphics card requires minimal work inside your computer.

Click "Start," then "Control Panel," then "Programs and Features." Find your current video graphics card name, and select the drivers associated with it. Click "Uninstall" or "Remove." Once the un-installation is complete, turn off your computer and completely disconnect all cables. Make a mental note of how your monitor connects to the computer.

Unscrew the two screws that connect the right side panel (when looking from behind) to your computer case. Slide it off after you have unscrewed it.

Locate your current video graphics card at the top of the expansion slots (bottom left of the motherboard). Remove the connection screw that holds it to your computer case. Press the lever to the right-hand side of the graphics card to pop it out of its slot, then pull it out gently but firmly.

Remove the new video graphics card from its protective packaging. Insert it into the now-empty slot. Screw the graphics card securely into the computer case, then re-attach the side panel. Replace the connecting screws and plug all cables back in to your computer.

Turn on your computer and insert the installation disc that accompanied your graphics card. Windows will detect that new hardware has been installed, then find your installation disc to complete setup. You have now upgraded your computer video graphics card.
