Owning a cat can be a gratifying experience, as felines provide companionship and relieve stress. Unfortunately, litter pans can be an eyesore and are a source of unwanted odors. Luckily, there are a few ways to hide a cat litter pan. It's up to you to decide which method best fits your situation and your budget.

• Pet door

Instructions

1. Buy a cat litter pan cover. Purchase either the cabinet type with a latch door for your cat to enter and exit, or the large flowerpot type that hides a litter box inside. However, these products can be expensive.

2. Install a pet door into a basement or laundry door to give you the opportunity to place your cat's litter pan in another room, while still giving it access to the box any time it wants.

3. Place the litter pan inside an inconspicuous cabinet. Take the door completely off, or just leave it open, to give your cat access.

4. Hide the litter pan in a closet to conceal it while also giving your cat plenty of privacy.

Tips & Warnings

• Even though you are concealing your cat's litter pan, make sure that it can still easily access the pan in order to avoid your cat eliminating in inappropriate places.
