Import a list of holidays to your Microsoft Outlook Express calendar.

Microsoft Outlook Express is a convenient way to keep track of emails and appointments in one program. One of the features in Outlook is the calendar, in which you can type reminders and appointments to help you schedule your life. What this calendar doesn't automatically have is holidays. Thankfully, there's an easy solution to that, and with a few short clicks of the mouse, you can easily have all the major holidays celebrated by your nation or religion imported to your calendar.

Instructions

    • 1

Check to see what version of Microsoft Outlook Express you have. If you have the 2003 version, you will need to get an update, which can be found here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924423. The 2003 version only has holidays listed through 2007. This update will have holidays listed through 2012.

    • 3

Go to the "Calendar Options" dialog box and select "Add Holidays". There, you can choose which holidays you want based on country and religion.

    • 4

Hit the "OK" button in the "Add Holidays" dialog box and close out the "Tools" box. The holidays should be uploaded on your Microsoft Outlook Calendar. Do a quick check in your calendar to make sure the holidays have loaded on the right dates.
