How to Display a Collection on Glass Shelves
Collections should be seen and put on display in a house. Whether the collection consists of shot glasses, dolls, teapots, pottery items or anything else, displaying the collection can make your home feel personalized. Glass shelves are an excellent way to display a collection because the collection can be seen from every angle. Organize the collection according to size and then according to complementary colors. For example, a collection of dolls should have the largest dolls set in one area and should gradually work down to the smallest dolls in the collection. The colors of the doll's dresses or clothes should be considered after size so that dolls with clashing clothes are not next to each other.

Place the largest items in the back and on the shelves with the highest available space. The top shelf is typically used for displaying large items in a collection because it has plenty of height above the object.

Avoid items being displayed more than two or three deep. Shelves invite placing as many items as possible on them, and glass shelves make the temptation higher because the items can be seen from below. Place the larger item in the back and the smaller item in front. Stagger the items so that even the larger items are not completely covered by the smaller items.

Space items so that every piece of the collection can be easily seen. Displaying a collection requires giving the collection pieces a little bubble of space. If you place items too close together, the shelves start to look crowded.
