Adding RAM to a Dell Computer

Shut down your Dell computer and unplug it.

Remove the screws (or thumbscrews, depending on your model of Dell) at the back of the case and slide off the side case panel.

Insert the new RAM chips into the open slots next to the already installed chips, located next to the CPU fan of your Dell machine.

Close up the computer and restart it to complete the installation.
