How to Refill Ink Toner
Toner cartridges hold an ink powder which is electrically charged by the printer and applied to the paper. When this powder runs out, the cartridge no longer prints. You can refill the powder and reuse the cartridge like it is brand new. The results will yield more prints and more savings for you.

1
Purchase a toner refill kit from a toner supply store. There are also several available on the Internet.
-
2
Remove the toner cartridge from your printer and set it on a table or desktop. Make sure the surface area is level, clear of debris and easy to work on.
-
-
3
Make a hole with the toner refill kit's "port tool" in the left hand corner of the toner cartridge near the gas cap over the toner chamber located in the front side of the cartridge. Plug the tool in and then press it into the cartridge to form the hole.
-
4
Remove the cap from the bottle of toner in the kit. Insert the toner bottle nozzle into the hole and fill the cartridge with toner powder. Remove the bottle, reapply the cap and seal the hole with the round, sticky hole sealer provided in the kit.
-
5
Reinstall the cartridge by opening your printer access door and inserting it into the carriage. Turn on the printer and allow the toner to charge. Use the printer as you normally would.
