How to Submit Business Ideas
Whether you are submitting an idea to the management staff of a company for which you already work or with which you are currently involved, or you are starting your own business and need to submit your idea and proposal to a potential financial backer, developing and writing down your business idea are crucial steps in presenting an idea that gains attention and respect. Researching your idea and its potential benefits and pitfalls is also a necessary step in establishing credibility for your business idea.

1
Write down a summary of your business idea. Include every detail you can think of off the top of your head. Consider fundamental factors like the kind of business to which your idea is tailored, clientele, financial need or ramifications, the benefit and novelty of your idea and the challenges associated with your idea.
-
2
Restructure your idea in the form of a business proposal. Write down your business idea objective (what you would like to achieve with your idea). Include a realistic assessment of cost associated with the business idea (this is particularly important if you are applying for funding).
-
-
3
Tailor your business idea proposal to the entity to which you will be submitting it. Include a clear section that explains how the business idea will benefit the company, or a section that clearly states how the idea will succeed if you are submitting a proposal for funding.
-
4
Edit your proposal for clarity and accuracy. Polish it accordingly -- it is imperative that it is without error and that the writing is accessible. Restructure the organization of the writing if necessary; make sure the proposal is linear and that the goal and vision for the idea, as well as the summary, is at the forefront (first couple of pages).
-
5
Submit your idea to the appropriate party. Research your options before submitting -- if you don't get your idea passed on to the right department in the company, or a reputable source of funding, it is unlikely your idea will gain recognition or financial backing.
