How to Make Pot Scrubbers
After grocery shopping, save and recycle your heavy nylon-mesh orange and onion bags by using them to scrub your pots and pans. The tough nylon and rough texture of the mesh vegetable bags is perfect for scraping off baked-on food from your cookware. These bags are made of plastic, so they will not damage non-stick coatings or plastic. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Remove any labels from the mesh vegetable bag. Cut off and discard the seams around all the edges of the bag.
-
2
Cut a 6-inch circle from one bag. Thread the needle with 28 inches of nylon thread and knot the end. Stitch around the circle with a basting stitch, 1/2 inch from the edge.
-
-
3
Gather the remaining mesh into a loose ball. Place the ball in the center of the circle. Pull both ends of the thread to gather up the edges of the circle around the ball of mesh.
-
4
Pull the edges of the mesh together tightly. Make a few stitches in the mesh to anchor the thread. Knot the thread close to the mesh ball.
-
5
Tie the ends of the thread together to make a 4-inch loop for hanging the ball. Cut off the excess thread.
