How to Delete Smiley Central From a Computer

Smiley Central is a browser add-on that allows you to display and add smiley faces to a variety of applications including emails and instant message programs. If you are no longer interested in the smiley faces, such as sad and kiss faces, you can uninstall Smiley Central from your computer quickly using the uninstall utility found in Windows operating systems.

Instructions

1. Close all instances of the Smiley Central application. Close the web browser.

2. Click the Windows "Start" menu, and click the "Control Panel." Double-click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon if you are using Windows XP. Click "Uninstall a Program" in "Program and Features" if you are using Windows 7 or Vista. This launches the programs window.

3. Select "My Web Search (Smiley Central)" or "My Total Search (Smiley Central)" if you installed Smiley Central prior to March 11, 2010. Select "My Web Search" if you installed Smiley Central after March 11, 2010.

4. Click "Remove" or "Uninstall," depending on the operating system you are using. When the uninstall process completes, restart your browser.
