1
Measure the entrance area, using a tape measure. Accurate measurements are important so you have enough tiles to complete the project.
-
2
Lie the tiles down "dry" so you can be sure of their permanent placements. Some tiles may need to be resized to fit along edges or around obstacles. Mark those tiles and use a tile cutter to resize them.

3
Spread a thin layer of adhesive along a section of the floor, using a notched trowel, then place down one of the tiles. Lay the tile into the adhesive carefully and check its level, using a leveling tool. Apply firm pressure to the tile for approximately one minute to secure the tile.
-
4
Place tile spacers to the corners of the tile. This will allow an equal space between all the tiles as they set. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the entire surface area being tiled. Let it set overnight.
-
5
Remove the tile spacers from the tile corners. Use a rubber float to spread grout over the spaces between the tiles. Hold the rubber float at a 45-degree angle to ensure the spaces fill properly.
-
6
Wipe up excess grout with a wet sponge.
