How to Receive Skype Calls in iPhones
Skype is a software application that allows users to make and receive voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) calls. Skype offers a free mobile application that is available through Apple's App Store. The mobile application features many of Skype's traditional features including the ability to make and receive calls, instant messaging and file transfer. Skype also offers paid services that allow users to make unlimited phone calls to numbers in certain countries and the ability to receive calls from traditional landline and cellular telephones at a dedicated phone number.

Press the round button at the bottom of the iPhone's screen, and slide your finger as instructed to unlock the iPhone. Press the icon for the "App Store," and then press the "Search" icon. Type "Skype" in the search bar, and then press "Search."

Select the Skype application from the list of iPhone applications. Press the blue box labeled "Free," and then press the green box labeled "Install." Wait for the iPhone to download and install the Skype application. When the process is complete, you will find a Skype icon on the iPhone's desktop.

Press the new Skype option on the desktop. Select the option to "Create Account," and accept the terms of service. Enter the requested information in each of the fields, and then press the blue "Done" button. Wait while Skype creates your new account. If the Skype name you have chosen is already in use, Skype will prompt you to select a new Skype name.

Press the round button at the bottom of the iPhone, and then select the Skype icon. Enter the Skype name and password you created in Step 3. To receive a call, press the green "Answer button." Talk on the iPhone as you normally would when receiving a traditional cellular telephone call. When you are ready to end the call, press the "End Call" button.

Tips & Warnings
With the free Skype service, you can only receive calls from other Skype users calling you through Skype. Skype also offers a paid service that will give you a dedicated telephone number. With the paid service, you can receive calls from traditional landline and cellular phones.
