How to Access Netgear Setup
The Netgear modem and router set-up utility is not a program that you launch on your computer. Instead, it is a website that you view in a web browser. You access the utility by typing your device's Internet Protocol address into your browser. The set-up utility lets you rename and secure your wired and wireless networks as well as configure other aspects of the network, like which ports are available for gaming purposes.

Open your Web browser.

Type "http://192.168.0.1" (without quotes) into your address bar. Hit "Enter." If the set-up log-in page doesn't load, try "http://192.168.1.1" (without quotes).

Type the log-in information you set up when you initially configured your Netgear device into the boxes on screen. If this is the first time you're setting up your Netgear device, the default user name will be "Admin" and the default password will be "Password."

Click "Sign In" to load your Netgear set-up utility.
