How to Upload a Photo Slideshow

Share your photo slideshow by uploading it online.

Photo slideshows help you to organize and share your pictures from trips and special occasions and can also be useful when creating a presentation for your job. To share your slideshow with family, friends and co-workers, you must upload it online. You can upload your slideshow to YouTube to publish it online first, then use the embed code provided by YouTube to upload your slideshow to the back end of your blog or personal website.

Instructions

Save

1. Open your slideshow on your computer. Go to "File" and select "Save As."

2. Name your slideshow and choose "WMV" from the file type dropdown box.

3. Choose the location on your computer in the window, then click "Save."

YouTube

1. Go to YouTube and login to your account. Go to "Upload" at the top, then click "Upload video" on the next page.

2. Select your slideshow from its location that you chose previously. Fill out the form provided by YouTube, including a title for your slideshow and a description.

3. Click "Upload video" and wait for the file to upload, which may be a few minutes if your slideshow is large or has audio.

Website

1. Find your slideshow on your YouTube page. Highlight the embed code by clicking on it, then copy by clicking control and the "C" key.

2. Login to your website or blog and go to the dashboard.

3. Click inside the text box and paste the embed code by clicking control and the "V" key. Click "Preview" to be sure your slideshow appears in the post, then select "Publish."
