How to Restart an HP Laptop Computer
The "Ctrl, Alt, Del" sequence, in which the Control, Alt and Delete keys are pressed simultaneously to cause a system reboot, was first developed by David Bradley while working at IBM. Other computer manufacturers picked up on the sequence and it became integrated into the Windows operating system. You can use the "Ctrl, Alt, Del" sequence to restart an HP laptop computer. You can also restart the HP Laptop via the Windows Start menu.

Tips & Warnings
Always restart your computer by first shutting it down properly--also called "a graceful shutdown". If you just switch off the power to your computer without shutting down gracefully, you could leave the computer in the middle of a data transfer or other important system process, which could cause the operating system to become faulty.
