How to Apply for Child Disability
Children under 18 years old with a disability may qualify for social security disability, also known as Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Child disability benefits were developed to help parents with financial difficulties due to therapies, equipment, and other costly treatments. Typically, benefit amounts are determined by the family's income and child disability. The Social Security Administration makes it simple to apply for child disability.
