How to Sync a Rented Movie Off of iTunes to Your iPod

The iTunes Store provides users with a variety of media to purchase and download to their libraries. Users can also rent movies from the iTunes Store. After you download a rented movie off of iTunes, you have 30 days to watch it. If you start watching the rental, you have 24 hours to finish it. The movie will disappear from you library when it expires.

Instructions

1. Open iTunes and insert the USB end of the iPod cable into a USB port on your PC. Plug the other end into your iPod. If iTunes tries to automatically sync with your iPod, click the small "X" in the display at the top of the iTunes window. This will cancel the sync.

2. Select your iPod from the list of devices in the left panel of iTunes.

3. Select the "Movies" tab from the top of the window. The Movies page will load to the screen. Under the Rented Movies section at the top of the page, you will see two sections. The left section displays rented movies in your iTunes library. The right section displays rented movies currently on your iPod.

4. Click the "Move" button of the rented movie you want to transfer to your iPod. The movie icon will physically move to the other section.

5. Click the "Sync" button at the bottom on the iTunes window. The syncing process will start. The iTunes display at the top of the window will read "Ok to Disconnect" when the sync is complete and its safe to eject your iPod.

Tips & Warnings

• Rented movies can only be on one device at a time. If you move a rental to your iPod, it will disappear from the iTunes library on your PC. If you move the rental back to the PC, if will no longer be available on the iPod.
