The chair back slides and locks and locks into place when the chair is assembled. If you would like to move the chair to a different location, disassemble the chair first to make the move easier.       Untuck the upholstery along the back of the chair and release the fastening tape along the lower seat frame.

      Lift the locking levers on both sides of the chair back (one on both sides) to release the chair back and allow it to slide off of the main frame. Use a flat-head screwdriver to make this easier.

      Lift up on the chair back to pull it free from the chair frame. If the chair back will not come free from the chair frame easily, wiggle the chair back from side-to-side until the back is free from the frame.
