How to Install Opera on an Eee PC
Opera is one of the most popular web browsers available as an alternative to Internet Explorer. If you have recently purchased a Windows-based ASUS Eee PC computer, you might be interested in finding out whether Opera's claim of being a faster web browser than Internet Explorer is true. Install Opera on your Eee PC if you would like to change web browsers.

Browse to the Opera download page using the link in the "Resources" section of this article. Select your preferred language using the radio buttons, and click the green "Download Opera" button. Save the file to your desktop.

Double-click the downloaded file on the desktop ("Opera_1060_en_Setup.exe" as of 2010). If a security warning window appears, click the "Run" button.

Place a check in the box labeled "Set Opera as default browser" if you would like Opera to open automatically when you click Web links. If you are not sure, remove the check and click "Next."

Examine the end user license agreement for Opera. If you agree to the terms, click the "I Agree" button to continue. Opera will install on your computer. When the installation is complete, a red "O" shortcut icon is placed on the desktop, and the Opera Web browser opens. Opera is ready to use.
