Create your own graffiti in Microsoft Paint.

If you want to create graphics for an ad or website that catches the eye, one approach is to create text that looks like graffiti. This has a modern and hip appearance sure to appeal to the younger crowd. You might have expected that you would need to hire a professional graphic artist with an expensive graphic program like Photoshop or Painter. However, if you have a PC, you can use the Microsoft Paint program that came with your computer to create impressive graffiti graphics yourself.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Paint (it is under Accessories). Choose the “Rectangular” shape tool.

    • 2

Change the “Background” color to red or some other bright color you want as the background for your graffiti. Change the “Outline” to “No Outline” and the “Fill” to “Solid Color. Draw a rectangle on the canvas.

    • 3

Select the “Brush” and set it to “Spray.” Make the “Foreground” color red. Adjust the size and paint around the edges of the rectangle to soften them. You want to give the appearance that the entire thing was painted with a can and that the edges are rough.

    • 4

Select the “Text” tool. Choose a wild, expressive font style, such as Jokerman. Select the font size and set the “Foreground” color to black or some other color that will contrast will with the background color.

    • 5

Type in your text. Now change to the “Brush” tool and with it still set to “Spray” spray the edges of the text to give them a rough appearance too. You may have to make the brush smaller before you do this. Save your work as a JPEG or GIF.
