Paint the wooden dowel any color you like using the paint and sponge brush. Set the dowel aside and allow it to dry.

2
While the dowel dries, place the star stencil on the poster board and trace two stars with a pencil. Cut out the star shapes with scissors. Decorate the stars with paint, markers or glitter as desired.

3
Cut the crepe paper into thin vertical strips about the length of your dowel. Glue the crepe paper strips to the bottom of one of the star cutouts.
-
4
Cover the undecorated sides of each star with glue. Place the stars together, glue sides facing each other, with the wooden dowel placed in between them at the bottom center of the stars. Place a heavy object like a book on top of the stars and allow them to dry.
