How to Adjust Monitors
Though the default settings of a computer monitor will work fine for some, there are others who may wish to customize the way an image looks on screen. To do this, you can employ the native Windows "Display Settings" tool. This tool lets you configure every aspect of your monitor all from the comfort of your own desktop. You can make adjustments to the settings in this utility at any time.

3
Select which monitor you'd like to configure from the "Display" drop-down menu. Only users with multiple monitors will have to worry about making this selection.
-
4
Choose the orientation of your monitor from the "Orientation" drop-down menu. The standard orientation of a computer monitor (both laptop and desktop) is "landscape." You can additionally choose between "portrait" and a flipped version of both "portrait" and "landscape."

5
Select your screen resolution from the "Resolution" drop-down menu. The resolution refers to the total size (in pixels) of the image being displayed. Use the slider bar to adjust your resolution, but know that it is a good idea to keep your monitor set to whichever resolution is listed as "recommended" in this window.
