How to Link to Twitter

The social networking site Twitter allows you to link to individual posts that a person has made, called "Tweets." As opposed to linking to a person's profile and then forcing someone to search for the tweet in question, you can simply link to that one particular tweet and be done with it. Linking to a person's individual tweets can be done from the profile page of the person you're attempting to link to.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open your Web browser.

    • 2

Go to the profile page of the person you're trying to link to. The URL of a Twitter profile page will be (without quotes) "www.twitter.com/username". Replace "username" with the username of a Twitter user.

    • 3

Click on the date beneath the tweet you want to link to. Every tweet will have a date beneath it indicating exactly when that tweet was posted. Clicking the date will take you to a page featuring only that one particular tweet.

    • 4

Copy the URL of the page now on screen. This is the URL of that particular message, and it can be used to create links to it.
