How to Mute a Mic in Headphones
One of the more common types of computer mic setup is the headset-style microphone. These are essentially a pair of headphones with a mic-arm attached to them, and they are typically used for communicating back and forth with other computer users without the need to pipe the audio through the computer speakers. Occasionally, however, a moment might arise when you want to listen to the audio without contributing yourself, and so want to mute the mic without muting the headphones. Fortunately, this is a relatively simple process.
