How to Kill Roach Infestation
Finding cockroaches in your home is an alarming experience. Because a roach population spreads fast, you want to kill an infestation as quickly as possible. Chemical-based commercial products are available to eliminate your roach infestation, but you can make a homemade roach insecticide using natural products for a fraction of the cost. Things You'll Need
- Bowl
- Baking soda
- Powdered sugar
- Boric acid
- Spoon
- Bottle caps
- Plastic lids

Combine equal parts baking soda, powdered sugar and boric acid in a bowl. Stir the three ingredients well to mix them thoroughly.

Spoon the powdery roach killer into plastic bottle caps, leftover from soda bottles or milk jugs. Place these roach bait containers in small spaces in and on top of cupboards or behind and between appliances.

Spread your homemade roach killer inside flat plastic lids, such as from deli containers or coffee to-go cups. Slide these roach bait containers under low appliances, like your refrigerator or stove.

Replenish the roach killer in your containers every few days until your roach infestation has been eliminated. This can take a few weeks.

Tips & Warnings
Your homemade roach killer will also rid your home of ants.
Boric acid is a natural product but can be toxic to pets and kids. Keep the roach bait out of reach of both children and pets.
