How to Cover & Decorate a Scrapbook

Things You'll Need
- Composition notebook
- 2 large sheets of colored card stock
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Double-sided adhesive tape
- Variety of patterned scrap booking paper
- Printable scrapbook cutouts
- Decoupage glue
- Paint brush
- Scrapbook decals
- Craft glue
- Grosgrain ribbon

Use your ruler to measure the cover of a composition book. Draw the same measurements on two sheets of cardstock with the ruler and pencil.

Cut the cardstock. Affix it to the front and back covers of the composition book with the double-sided adhesive tape.

Decorate the front of your composition book with readymade scrapbook decals from your local craft store. Cut out the decals you want to use and brush the backs with a thin layer of decoupage glue. Affix into place. Allow for drying.

Brush the black spine of the composition book with craft glue. Affix an equal sized piece of grosgrain ribbon to it with your glue. Allow it to dry.

Personalize the composition book with stickers or adhesive backed plastic gemstones, if desired.

Protect your work surface with newspapers to prevent the glue from damaging furniture.
