Navigate to a website that offers a motion wallpaper maker. Click on the download link or button to download the motion wallpaper maker to your computer. Then follow the prompts within the installation wizard to install it on your computer.

Double-click on the icon of the motion wallpaper maker that is placed on your desktop after installation is complete to launch the software. Click the “Open” button and locate the image on your computer’s hard drive that you want to use as your motion wallpaper to open it within the software.

Click on the animation from the animation pane that you want to add to your image and then click on your image to position it where you want it to be on your image. If you want to reposition the animation, simply drag and drop it where you want to move it on your image.

Click “Save” when you are done to save your motion wallpaper. It is saved to your screen savers folder by default. Then click the “Apply” button to apply it as your wallpaper.

Tips & Warnings
For best results, make sure that the image that you use to create your motion wallpaper is the same size as your screen’s resolution (usually 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768).
Software that enables you to create motion wallpaper usually is not offered free, but requires a purchase fee of at least $20.
