1
Select quality stationery paper from your local craft store. Choose two colors--either the two colors you're using for the wedding, or a shade of white and one of your wedding colors. If you're using your two wedding colors, choose one color that is light enough to print the wording on. One color paper should be especially sturdy, and the other hue of paper should be a little thinner.

2
Print your invitation information on the thinner paper. Measure the thicker paper and cut it to the desired size with a crafting knife or paper cutter. Measure the thinner paper and cut it to be one inch less in width and height since it will go inside the 'main paper.' Be sure not to cut any of the wording from the thin paper, then glue it to the inside of the larger paper.

Add a small bow with a pearl in the middle to the top of the invitation, so that bow is at the top of the page when guests unfold the invitation. Secure the ribbon and pearl with roller glue, and allow it to set for a minute or two. Glue thin sections of lace around the four sides of the invitation to create a border.

Fold the invitation in half (in the shape of a tent), and apply an invitation sticker to the open crease as a seal. The sticker can be gold or silver, and should feature the first initial of your married name. Or, place the invitations in envelopes in the color of your choice, and apply an invitation sticker to the back of the envelope at the tip of the envelope flap.
