Visual effects can be used in posters, banners, videos and other types of printed media. Many schools offer degrees in visual effects, but you can also learn on your own with Internet programs. Visual effects can help you with anything you would like to design.

      Go to Gnomonschool.com and find the Online Training link. Click on "Visual Effects" and read through the information about the online courses. If you agree with the current pricing and you think you have time for the courses, click “Sign up” to apply for the program. Fill out the application online and once you are accepted you can begin to take online classes. The classes are taught in a variety of ways, with videos, written lessons and online examples.

      Go to AcademyArt.edu. Choose “Programs” and then “Visual Arts.” These classes are taught by professors from their own computers. You can watch videos of your professors, speak to other students and learn your own visual arts. To apply, click "Apply for program" under the program you wish. Then, fill out your application and once you are accepted, you can begin taking classes any time you'd like.

      Try MichaelBach.de. Click on "Lessons" and then choose "Visual Arts." Scroll through the different types of lessons and choose the ones you like. Here, you can look at several different types of visual arts and take a wide variety of lessons. As you go through the lessons, you will be able to apply the things you've learned to different facets of projects and assignments to create a portfolio.
