Decorating an Arch for a Fall Wedding
A wedding arch is often a wedding's focal point, and visible in many photographs. Decorating it with all the elements of autumn can help pull the entire ceremony together. Bright fall colors like orange, red and yellow, when combined with other unconventional wedding decor like as apples and pumpkins, can make the arch stand out due to its beauty. This ornamentation can showcase the reason you chose the season for your special day.

1
Use garlands of faux fall leaves. They wrap around the arch easily and can withstand indoor or outdoor use. One option is to cover the entire arch and mix in strands of orange lights, which can accentuate the colors of the leaves.

2
Add on natural decor. Consider using items such as dried grapevine wrapped around the arch, which after the wedding, you can throw outside for the animals to use. Other options are to use fresh cranberries strung together, apples or sunflowers, all of which can also be put back into nature after use. You can also use fall colored ribbon, such as red, orange or yellow intertwined between the natural elements as an extra touch of decor.

Use string lights to accentuate the decorations. This can look especially beautiful on an arch in a dimly lit room or for an outdoor wedding. You can use white lights or those that come in fall colors, such as red or orange. Purchase more lights than necessary, in case a strand blows out.

Put up single color arch decor. For example, you can take golden marigolds, orange ribbon, orange tulle and a garland of red and orange faux fall leaves, and weave everything together around the arch. A mix of large and small pumpkins can also make for excellent fall decor at the arch's base. Other colors to consider: red, orange and even brown.

Tie on tulle in fall colors. Tulle in rich colors such as brown or deep red are excellent choices for an autumn wedding. Another option, if you want a mix of light and bright, is to wrap white tulle around the arch and then top it with bright decorations, such as faux leaves, orange and red Gerbera daisies, and white lights.

6
Make an arch of roses. One idea is to start out with tulle and intertwine the roses with the tulle; another option is to skip the tulle and just do an entire arch of roses with another accent, such as strings of orange glass beads or gold ribbon. Using red, yellow and orange can be perfect for a fall wedding. According to ProFlowers, red roses stand for romance and love, yellow symbolizes friendship and orange stands for enthusiasm and desire—all of which are elements of a marriage partnership.
