How to Uninstall the McAfee Trial Version

By Ryan McAlister

McAfee offers a variety of programs that protect your PC, including one that protects your computer from viruses by scanning and removing them. A common complaint amongst users is that it drastically slows down their computer, so they choose to get rid of it. Another reason to get rid of it would be that the initial version is free, but they end up charging you after your trial period expires. You can uninstall and delete the McAfee Trial Version from your computer by using a program that is native to your computer.

Click "Start" in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

Click "Control Panel" from the menu that appears.

Double-click on "Add or Remove Programs."

Locate "McAfee" in the list and highlight it. Click "Change/Remove" in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Check all of the programs you want to remove. McAfee offers trial versions of AntiVirus, Total Protection, SiteAdvisor and more. Select the programs that you wish to uninstall.

Click "Remove" again to verify that you understand the consequences of not having virus protection.

Restart your computer.
