How to Delete a Twitter Post
After telling the world you just saw your favorite celebrity, you realized you spelled his name wrong, or you were going to meet a friend somewhere but changed your mind. Panic goes through your mind because you don’t want to be embarrassed by your mistake. Although you sent your 140-character tweet to the world, you can delete it in a matter of seconds.

Log into your Twitter account using your username and password.

Click “Profile” from the top menu or click your handle/number of tweets below the top menu.

Run your mouse over the tweet you want to delete. The word “Delete” will highlight. Click this.

Verify you wish to delete this tweet.

Refresh the page and your tweet is removed.

Tips & Warnings
Once you delete a Twitter posting, it disappears permanently and you cannot recover it.
Depending on your phone service and application, you may not be able to delete a Tweet from your phone.
