How to Delete a Facebook Chat History

The social networking site Facebook has a chat feature. You can have multiple chat sessions open, but each session can only be with a single friend. Facebook does not log your chat sessions permanently, but you can see recent conversations. Your friend must be online in order to see the chat history for that friend. You must delete the chat history for each friend individually.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Chat" button at the bottom of the screen to open the chat window.

2. Click on the name of a friend you were recently chatting with.

3. Click the "Clear Chat History" option at the top of the chat window. This will clear the chat history for that friend.

4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for each friend you have recently chatted with.
