Cnet is a website owned by CBS Interactive Media, and is a source for finding product reviews, information about technology and related products and services, and software downloads. The software download area of the site provides a way for you to download free and paid software, while reading reviews of the software by cnet editors as well as others who have downloaded and used it. While it is not currently possible to download music files on cnet, you can download software that will allow you to browse and download music from a wide array of sources.

      Click the "Downloads" button in the ribbon near the top of cnet's homepage.

      Choose your operating system from the drop-down menu next to the search bar at the top of the downloads page.

      Enter "music" into the search bar and click the red button, which has a magnifying glass on it. You will be automatically directed to a list of results for all programs and utilities available for download on cnet. Browse through them and read reviews and product information to find one that meets your needs and falls within your desired price range.
