How to Uninstall Norton Security Center 2005

Norton Internet Security 2005 is a computer protection product by Symantec that follows in a long list of computer maintenance and protection suites. The product allowed users to configure a firewall; provided protection from viruses, spyware and adware; included parental control features and had a user-friendly interface. Norton Internet Security was succeeded by more advanced programs of the same publisher. You need to remove this program using the standard Windows uninstall process if you intend to install a new version.

Instructions

1. Go to the "Start" menu and click "Control Panel."

2. Click the "Uninstall a program" link under "Programs" to start the "Programs and Features" window.

3. Scroll through the list of currently installed programs, click "Norton Internet Security" and then "Uninstall."

4. Follow the step-by-step prompts of the uninstallation wizard to uninstall the Norton product and restart your PC.
