How to Uninstall Trend Micro Software

Trend Micro is a publisher of computer protection programs such as Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware or Trend Micro Internet Security. These programs provide protection from viruses, spyware and adware, and delete threats already present on your hard drive. In addition, Trend Micro programs prevent malicious downloads while you are surfing the Web, provide spam protection and complete updates automatically. However, if you decide to uninstall a Trend Micro product from your PC, you can do so using the automatic diagnostic tool.

Instructions

1. Go to the "Start" menu, click "All Programs," select "Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware" (or "Trend Micro Internet Security" if that's the version you have). Click "Trend Micro Support Diagnostic Toolkit."

2. Click the "[E] Uninstall" tab in the Trend Micro Support Diagnostic Toolkit's window. Click the "1. Uninstall Software" button.

3. Follow the step-by-step prompts of the Trend Micro Support Diagnostic Toolkit to automatically remove the Trend Micro product and restart your computer.
